Suggestion: remember appcontrol window location from previous session

when appcontrol loads if it could have a toggle to remember the last location of the window that would be very useful

@Richard_Davis sorry for the issue.

Are you saying that when you open AppControl after closing it, the window appears in a different place than before? I have not seen that issue before.

If you go to our top right cog menu and choose ā€œAboutā€, what version of AppControl do you have?

Hi yes I mean when I fully exit the app (not just minimising it).
I’m on

this would be useful so it appears in the same place after a windows reboot for example, as I use it like a widget

We were able to recreate this issue. We’ll solve it in the next update, thanks for finding this!

Having a ā€˜widget mode’ would be pretty handy, for example I put it in the corner of the screen like this so I can use it to track cpu, gpu etc:

I would love to see a mode where I could get the metrics in or beside the system tray. I currently have a program called TrafficMonitor that gives this for CPU and memory

To me, either in the System Tray or (like TrafficMonitor) next to the System Tray would be nice.

Having the ability to choose what to display would be nice. Stacking like TrafficMonitor would save space. Choosing colours and fonts a really nice bonus.

AppControl is already a fantastic program. This would make it even better!

@CTaylor @Richard_Davis we have added this to our plans, thanks!

That’s great! Thanks.

I had an idea which might be really nice. I like the idea of being able to customize the colour of different metrics. But what might make more sense would be the colour of metrics changing according to a user-chosen scheme.

For example, I might like the metrics showing in green text if below a certain level and in red text if the metric is over my chosen level.

e.g. I might set the memory threshold at 80%, CPU at 90% and disk at 75%. My tray icon might show CPU and Disk in green because they are below the threshold and Mem in red because it is above the threshold. It would stick out like a sore thumb.

Also, it would be useful if I could click on the tray icon and have it load the full AppControl program.

Great idea! We have even considered making our current icon change colors depending on resource usage… from its normal color, to red… but we probably won’t do that.
