About the General category

Since AppControl is new, we’re only going to have one category in our forum to start with. Feel free to post anything here that fits within our rules.

The application is not user-friendly on devices with small screens like notebooks, and this can be improved with simple adjustments. The main reason it feels inefficient is that the top section occupies too much space, leaving very little room for the area that displays services and applications below. There is no issue on large monitors or at higher resolutions.

The top and bottom sections should be adjustable—users should be able to easily expand or shrink them. The application should also offer different layout options so users can customize the interface in various ways. There should be a section similar to a “Tweaker.”

It would be useful to have an assistant that tests the system and suggests what can be enabled or disabled based on usage type. For example, this assistant could ask the user how they use the system; if the user says for gaming, it could recommend disabling certain unnecessary services. Or, if there is no printer connected, it could suggest disabling printer-related services.

Since it continuously monitors the system, it should also be able to detect and report abnormal situations. For instance, after an update, the dwm.exe process started consuming a very high amount of memory—I noticed this manually. The system should notify such anomalies, like differences in average memory usage between previous and updated versions or post-update instability.

Additionally, there should be more varied graphical elements in the interface.
