Please try our new AppControl software update now. Just download, and install it over the previous version. No need to uninstall the previous one.
Congrats on issuing the first update!
Before I installed it: I have the check for updates toggled on in settings. I hit About and it reported up to date, 1.0.0.145b.
Install went A-OK.
Win+Ctrl+A functional.
Nothing unusual to report otherwise.
Great! We will keep releasing new features and updates. Thanks for your feedback and testing!
I use version installed via winget, and there is no update availible
Sorry for the issue. Yes, I made sure we were added to Winget but I forgot about the update. I thought Winget updated automatically though. I will see what’s going on, thanks!
I had the same thing happen - on 1.0.0.145b > settings > About > reported up-to-date. Installed 204b and everything is fine.
I like the hotkey to load it. The ability to modify or disable the hotkey would be really nice. Lots of programs want to set hotkeys these days.
We are preparing a small bugfix version that will be out in a few days. When that’s out I’ll update Winget @yrek150 so it doesn’t have to be done twice.
We have released AppControl ver. 1.1.1.208b with a few bug fixes. Go to AppControl.com to download now.
When using the short cut on Windows, the search function is frozen. If I select App Control from the system tray using the mouse this problem does not happen.
So you press Win+Ctrl+A and then our “activity” screen appears, and then if you click the search box it won’t work for you? I could not reproduce this so far.
What Windows version do you have?
I am using AppControl version 1.2.0.282b. Are you on that version also?
Just updated to the latest version yesterday 120.282b on Windows 11 25H2. It only happens when I first log in. If I open the app from system tray then use the short cut afterwards it works fine.
We will try to reproduce/fix it. Thanks for your report!
It is updated on Winget now, please check.
Our team asked if you have the AppControl icon pinned to taskbar? Thanks.
@extranet and they asked if you run AppControl in Parallels VM?
No just in the System Tray.
Definitely not. Just Windows 11 25H2.
Someone on our team just explained to me that we made a fix with AppControl’s focus that will be out in our next update. Hopefully that will solve the issue for you. When you update please check and confirm the issue is solved or not. The update will be out in May. Sorry for the delay.
@extranet I forgot to mention the issue is solved now if you are using our latest version.
