AppControl 1.4.0.414 is now available!

Hello AppControl Fans! We just released a summer update for AppControl with some improvements:

  • More Colorful Temp Bars: The CPU/GPU temperature bar got a vibrant overhaul. It’s now much easier to spot temperature shifts at a glance.

  • Visual Memory Bar: Your total RAM usage now features a slick visual representation bar on the Memory screen.

  • Instant Notification Dismissal: Click your mouse scroll wheel on any AppControl notification to close it instantly.

  • Process Status Triangles: Active processes now show a solid colored triangle, while inactive ones show an outline. Hover over them to see status details and when the process last ran!

  • Quick System Properties: When inspecting an executable in the details drawer, click “System Properties” to launch the native Windows properties window instantly.

  • Windows Services Support: AppControl can now display Windows Services!

  • Upgraded MCP Server: Our optional MCP server has been updated to match this Windows release, plus you’ll now get alerted whenever an app accesses it (if enabled).

  • Better Executable Detection: We’ve overhauled how we detect updated executables for much higher reliability. Note: You might see a quick burst of new executable events right after updating—don’t panic, that’s just the new system catching up, and it’ll settle right down!
