CPU/GPU temps absent - Alerts location request

The CPU and GPU temperatures are absent from the Activity panel. (Libre Hardware Monitor recognizes the data, but not for the GPU.)

Mobo is an ASUS P5E-VM HDMI.

CPU is an E8400 Core2 Duo with GPU via the G35 chipset.

This, of course, is ancient stuff on a system I built in 2008 and now serves as a test system running a Windows Insider pre-release Win10 Pro, updated monthly up to the recent no-more-4-U.

So, I post this up as an FYI.

In the meantime, the alerts pop open in the lower right of the Desktop. Eventually, I’d like the option to relocate, preferably via drag and drop.

Cheers.

Thanks for reporting this. Yes, we are having some trouble with temperature on some older hardware but we hope to add support in the future.

Thanks for the idea of allowing alerts to appear in different areas of the desktop. Maybe even the center?

Thanks!

Where ever it can be dragged and dropped. I have four apps displaying data on my desktop now (one of them is the hardware monitor I screenshot above). I can grab either and drag and drop anywhere.

The center has been historically problematic with failure to display over a currently active window. I find that problem occurring even now with Firefox’s Password Required and an auto-shutdown app warning.

While I have your attention, as the alerts appear in real time, they fade out with not enough time for an effective read and at times several that stack up. Often there is a “waiting on details” (I believe I’m recalling the exact wording). While one can read the info in the in the app, perhaps an option to set a user preferred, or a selectable series (say, 10 to 30 seconds in 5 or 10 second intervals) fade-out. Maybe even a close-on-click. Either that or a brief bullet point summary and a “see Alerts” or “see Events.”
