First of all, thank you for creating such a useful application.
I would like to suggest adding support for SMTP Email and Telegram notifications. This would make it much easier for administrators to receive alerts even when they are not actively monitoring the application.
Suggested implementation
Please consider adding a Notifications section in the application settings where users can configure:
SMTP
- SMTP Server
- Port
- Encryption (SSL/TLS/STARTTLS)
- Username
- Password
- Sender Email Address
- Recipient Email Address(es)
- Test Email button
Telegram
- Bot Token
- Chat ID / Channel ID
- Test Message button

- Instant notifications for important events.
- Easier remote monitoring.
- Better integration with existing IT monitoring workflows.
- No dependency on third-party services.
- Suitable for both home labs and enterprise environments.
I believe SMTP and Telegram are two of the most commonly used notification methods by system administrators, and adding support for them would significantly improve AppControl’s usability.
