Looks Promising. But need more features like Startup Apps tab and Details tab

I recently discovered AppControl, and I genuinely liked it enough to install it immediately. The UI is clean, modern, and minimal, which is honestly rare for system utilities. It feels lightweight but capable.

That’s exactly why I’m writing this.

I believe AppControl has the potential to reach a level where, if it’s installed, users wouldn’t need to open Windows Task Manager at all. It doesn’t just need to compete with it; it could surpass it.

Here are a few features that could help it reach that level:

1. Advanced Process Control (Cleanly Organized)

A dedicated “Details” or “Advanced” tab would make a huge difference, especially if implemented in a clean, non-intimidating way.

For example:

  • Set Priority

  • Set Affinity

  • Suspend / Resume process

  • End process tree

As a gamer, Set Affinity is particularly important to me. Some older games don’t properly support multi-core CPUs, and manually assigning specific cores improves stability. Having this built directly into AppControl would be incredibly convenient.

But this isn’t just for gamers; professionals and power users would benefit too.

2. Startup Application Management

Being able to view and enable/disable startup applications directly from AppControl would move it closer to being a full system control center.

Bonus points if startup impact or load time is displayed.

This way, general users stay comfortable, while professionals and gamers unlock deeper control when needed.

Thanks for your feedback on Startup Application Management. We are actively working on this already due to feedback from other people such as yourself.

For “Set Affinity” (along with your other comments) nobody has suggested that yet so we have not yet considered it. I will share this with our team, thank you!
