Some application loves to spam access to certain function (Like mic… cough cough Discord), so I’d like the ability to mute certain application for specific events so it’s not cluttering the events that actually matters.
By that same note, doing the same thing but for entire folders. I’ve been developping application on VSC and every single test run of my application, AppControl think it’s a new application and it gives an event. As you can imagine, it get spammy real quick and drown out any useful information that the event tab could give.
Honestly, if it wasn’t for that I’d actually use the event viewer much more. But due to the spammy noise, it drown out way too much information and make it useless
Yes but that doesn’t help that the one application that would be suspicious that I’d want to check out that would be highlighted in the event viewer is drowned out by all the other events that I’d consider normal and know their origin. The “Do not disturb” mode doesn’t change that at all. Which is why we need a mute like my original suggestion so those events are not even shown at all in the event viewer, and eventually after muting all the normal application that are allowed, only the suspicious one that warrant attention will be shown in the event viewer.
@Xiarno yes, what you are saying makes perfect sense. I just wanted to mention “do not disturb” in case it helps a little, but I can see it doesn’t help for your situation.
