I’m imaging the process usage graph being displayed as an additional series to the ‘total’ usage, e.g. a red line, displayed at the same scale.
This would let users quickly compare the app’s usage over time with the total usage over time, which is not currently possible but I think a valuable view.
From what I can tell, the user can either: look at the ‘sparkline’ chart of the process’ usage (has its own scale), or mouse over the main chart (only displaying data from a single point in time).
In fact, I think currently there is no way to interrogate an individual process’ usage over time other than by connecting an MCP server and asking an AI assistant, unless I’m missing something (I’ve only been trying AppControl for about 15 minutes).
Possibly there could be some delay on the appearance, or a hotkey you have to hold, as otherwise it could be quite noisy visually when moving the mouse over the process list.
